Gunmen attacked a local television station in the capital Kabul on Tuesday, with reports that people have been killed and injured.
Quoting a Reporter for the channel, who managed to escape, BBC said that the attackers were still inside the building and gunfire is going on.
He said, some of his colleagues were killed and injured. Police said the number of attackers and people killed and injured remains unclear.
However, spokesman for the chief of Kabul police said one of the attackers had been killed by Afghan forces.
He said, security personnel are trying to regain control of the building.
The interior ministry said it is investigating the incident. More than 100 employees are thought to be inside the building of a Pashto language,Shamshad TV station, when the attack occurred.
Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid, in a Twitter post, denied that the militant group was involved in the attack.
