Government forces have killed 60 militants and regained vast areas in the northern Saripul province in Afghanistan. Provincial Governor Zahir Wahdat said that the security forces have liberated five villages from Taliban clutches in Sancharak district after six days of fierce fighting. He also confirmed that 11 security personnel were killed and 19 others sustained injuries.
