Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa has said the acquisition of Rafale fighter jets and S-400 Missiles will enhance the country’s Air Force capabilities. The Air Chief Marshal was speaking at a function to mark the 86th Anniversary celebrations of the Indian Air Force at the Hindan Air Force Station here today. He lauded the efforts of the Air Staff for their contribution to the nation.
To mark the occasion, a colourful parade cum investiture ceremony was held with a breath-taking display by the Air Warrior Drill Team, showcasing their weapons, the handling skills and diverse manoeuvers with the rifles. This was followed by a scintillating air display of a wide range of IAF aircraft including vintage flight.
The Ambassadors of Indian Air Force, Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team, comprising nine Hawk 132 aircraft and the Helicopter aerobatics team, Sarang, enthralled the audience with the display of the aerobatics formation.
In the last eight decades, IAF has technologically evolved and grown in strength to thwart any threat to the nation. It is committed to safeguard the Indian skies and has played a key role in providing assistance to the people of the country during any natural calamity.
