Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi was today sworn in as Delhi Chief Minister. Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena administered the oath of office to Atishi and her Council of Ministers at a ceremony at Rajniwas. AAP leader Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Imran Hussain, and Mukesh Ahlawat were also sworn in as Cabinet Ministers.

Later, addressing a press conference, Atishi thanked Arvind Kejriwal for trusting and giving her such a big responsibility to serve the people of Delhi. She said the implementation of pending developmental work will be expedited. The Chief Minister, Atishi, accused the BJP of creating hurdles in developmental work in the national capital.

Atishi is an MLA from Kalkaji Assembly seat. She has become the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj from the BJP and Sheila Dikshit from the Congress. Earlier this week, Arvind Kejriwal had submitted his resignation along with his Council of Ministers to the Lieutenant-Governor.
