The Congress party today rejected the 53 seats demand from AIUDF for the Assam elections. The Vice-President of state Congress Ripun Bora told a few TV channels that Congress will fight alone in the upcoming polls.
Yesterday AIUDF President Badruddin Ajmal claimed 53 seats from the ruling Congress for any understanding or alliance. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has already called for an understanding among various parties to defeat the BJP in assembly polls to be held next year.
