A pal of gloom has descended over Puttaparthi in the wake of reports about critical health of Satya Sai Baba.
His condition began deteriorating since last evening with liver dysfunction and persistent low blood pressure. A team of doctors comprising eminent doctors and experts in different medical fields both from home and abroad are making vigorous efforts to recommence the functioning of his organs.
The spiritual leader, who has millions of followers world over has been under the treatment for multi organ dysfunction at the super specialties hospital at Puttaparthi since 28th of last month. Meanwhile, security has been beefed up and section 144 has been imposed in Puttaparthi Town to check any untoward incident.
