Former Punjab Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal patriarch Parkash Singh Badal, who recently recovered from Covid 19, has been admitted to PGIMER Chandigarh on Saturday afternoon. The Head of the Advance Cardiac Centre Professor Yashpal Sharma said that Mr Badal has been admitted due to pain in chest and problem in breathing.
The 94-year-old leader was on January 24 discharged from a hospital in Ludhiana where he was admitted after he tested positive for Covid.
Badal, a five-time chief minister, is seeking re-election from Lambi constituency in the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections.
