The United Nations has condemned the killing of Rohingya community leader Mohibullaha in the Cox’s Bazar area of Bangladesh on Wednesday and called on the authorities to investigate the incident, reports Reuters. UNHCR, US Ambassador to Bangladesh , UK High Commissioner and European Union in Bangladesh among several other diplomats in Bangladesh and international organisations expressed shock at the incident and demanded an investigation into the incident.
Brother of the slain Mohibullah told AFP that Mohibullah had received death threats from the Myanmar insurgent group Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) due to his popularity and work among the Rohingya refugees living in Bangladesh camps.
The funeral of the slain Rohingya leader in Kutupalong camp at Cox’s Bazar on Thursday was attended by a large number of people from the area.

Rohingya community leader Mohibullah was gunned down by unknown assailants on Wednesday outside his office room in Kutupalong under Ukhia Upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
