Jharkhand: Recovery rate improves to 48 percent

The recovery rate in Jharkhand has improved to 48 percent after 18 more patients have recovered from the COVID19 infection today.
In a significant recovery shown by patients, all 109 patients confirmed in Dhanbad district have recovered from COVID-19. The last set of 14 patients of Corona who were admitted were also discharged today from the hospital. Dhanbad district is left with no active cases.
So far, the total number of cases confirmed in the state is 1735. This includes two doctors treating the COVID-19 patients at RIMS hospital in Ranchi who have been detected Corona positive, according to the reports received today.
834 people have recovered from the disease and have been discharged from hospitals, while 8 people have succumbed to the infection. In total, there are 893 active cases in the state undergoing treatment at various hospitals.
Presently, 49,545 people have been quarantined at quarantine centres while close to 3 lakh people, who returned from different states, have been home quarantined by the state government. Meanwhile, 1,03,905 samples have been tested in the state, out of which 1,02,194 samples have tested negative.

176 new Covid19 positive cases reported in Karnataka
In Karnataka during the last twenty four hours 176 new Covid positive cases were reported today, taking the total to 7,000 and the total active cases to 2,956.
312 positive patients were discharged from various hospitals in the State. 130 positive cases were discharged from Udupi district. With five more deaths the total death toll increased to 86. Today, 7,451 samples were tested and the total samples tested mounts to 4,43,969.

Total active positive Covid19 cases rise to 468 in Ladakh
Union Territory Ladakh, Covid-19 cases are alarmingly rising continuously the second day hundreds in numbers. Today, 104 fresh cases have been added in Kargil district. With this Total active positive cases rose to 468 in the UT Ladakh.
As expected by the administration, the cases are increasing in Union Territory Ladakh. With 104 new cases in Kargil and eight in Leh the total cases in UT are standing at 468. Out of this total, 81 in Kargil and nine in Leh are taking treatment in Covid special hospitals while 55 in Leh and 215 in Kargil are in Home Isolation as per the ICMR’s new SoPs.
However, the health departments in both the districts are monitoring the progress of health of covid-19 positive cases in the Union Territory. On the other hand, 12 patients are discharged from Leh Covid Hospital . Ladakh UT has cured total 80 patients till today.

UP govt taking all steps to contain spread of Covid 19
@myogiadityanathIn Uttar Pradesh, the government is taking all steps to contain the spread of Covid 19 in the state . Medical facilities and sample testing are being increased continously to fight the disease. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed that lockdown rules should be implemented firmly and a strict vigil should be kept on Corona containment zones.
The Principal Secretary, Medical and Health, Amit Mohan Prasad while talking to media persons at Lucknow today said that Corona testing facilities are continuously increasing in state and maximum 15, 762 samples were tested yesterday. As of now more than 4 lakh 56 thousand samples have been tested in state.
There are 4,948 corona positive cases in all 75 district. Total 8,268 patients have got cured and discharged to their homes. The recovery rate of Covid 19 patients is 60.72 percent which is quite higher than the national recovery rate.
All the migrant workers are being kept vigil by health department and ASHA worker are regularly visiting their homes to enquire their health status.

Active caseload of Covid-19 in Tamil Nadu remains 19,676
The active caseload of Covid-19 in Tamil Nadu remains 19,676 with 1138 patients returning home after recovery in the last 24-hours. The recovery rate in the state is estimated to be 55.9 % and the mortality rate 0.97 %. 1974 people were recorded positive for the virus today, including 1415 in Chennai. The total number of infected patients has surged to 44,661 in the state. On the other hand, 38 patients fell victim to the disease taking the toll to 435.
With Chennai witnessing an increased caseload of Covid-19 infections, the authorities have redesigned the strategy to contain the spread.
The state health department and the Chennai Corporation have jointly revised the strategy to tackle the growing Covid-19 menace. In all the 200 divisions in the civic body’s 15 zones, a separate team has been formed to implement a newly devised micro-plan.
It involves identifying the Covid-19 patients as the first step. If the patient is having comorbidity conditions, aged or showing moderately higher or severe symptoms, they will be referred to hospitals. Asymptomatic people with the infection will be either home quarantined or put to stay in Covid-19 care centres.
Each and every member in the family and those who came in close contact with the positive cases will be tested. Conducting intensive disinfection drives, door-to-door surveillance of fever or influenza-like-illness, fever camps and distribution of immunity boosters in a coordinated manner also form part of the revised strategy.

Nagaland: 12 more recovered, taking the tally of recovered patients to 88
In Nagaland, 12 more recovered cases have been reported today taking the tally of recovered patients to 88. With this, the total recovered cases have surpassed the number of COVID-19 active cases in the state which stands at 80. All the 80 active cases are asymptomatic.
Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom tweeted in the afternoon that 12 more patients have tested negative of COVID-19 in their second test. He said all patients who have recovered are from Dimapur and have been shifted to COVID-19 care centres for further observation and monitoring.
Earlier, the Minister also informed that five new cases of COVID-19 positive have been reported out of 232 samples tested. The state has now recorded a total confirmed 168 COVID-19 positive cases.
