Amid Corona virus pandemic, a lot of people have turned Corona Warriors in J&K to help people in need. In Reasi town of Jammu district, a 74 year old retired Government employee Yog Raj Mengi has distributed over 6000 masks made by him from his monthly pension.
Not only this, he has also started distributing free ration to the needy people in the township. Recognising his contribution, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today tweeted that “we are Proud of citizens like him who are adding so much might in the battle against COVID-19”.
Earlier Minister of state in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh also tweeted about Mengi, saying it is a special pride to share this contribution. He said it is time to ask what we can do, nothing too small or too big. Mengi said it is a very small gesture to help those fighting the virus on the frontline. He said we all can play a part in defeating Covid-19 by helping government and those in need.
