A MiG-21 trainer aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed today morning at Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh. The IAF has ordered a court of inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident.

The aircraft, which was on a routine mission, crashed around 10 a.m., the sources further said. The MiG-21 trainer aircraft belongs to the Gwalior airbase. Both the pilots, including a Group Captain and a squadron leader, managed to eject safely. The District Superintendent of Police informed that the trainer jet crashed in Choudhary-ka-Pura in Bhind district.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa regarding the MiG-21 trainer crash near Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh today. in a tweet, Mr Singh said, he also enquired about the condition of both the pilots who had ejected successfully.
