Campaigning for the remaining three phases of Lok Sabha elections is gaining momentum as the top leaders of various political parties are addressing a series of rallies across the country.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed an election rally at Simdega in Jharkhand. During the rally, he said that demonetisation has taken away people’s purchasing power and hence jobs were lost, causing unemployment.
He said if his party comes to power in New Delhi, the ‘Nyaya Yojana’ will give money to the poor directly.
He said this will generate purchasing power because of which the factories will be set up and millions will get jobs and hence unemployment will cease to exist.
BJP President Amit Shah addressed an election rally in Biaora area in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh.
Speaking at the rally, he said, that pension of six thousand rupees will be given to all farmers, farm labourers and small businessmen who have completed 60 years of age if his party is voted to power.
BJP leader and Union Minister Mahesh Sharma will also address a rally in Raibareli. Union Minister and BJP in-charge of UP JP Nadda will have meetings with party workers in Sultanpur and Amethi districts in the state.
Samajwadi party President Akhilesh Yadav will hold public meetings in Pratapgarh and Lucknow.
In Rajasthan, top leaders of various political parties are campaigning in the remaining 12 constituencies of the state, which will go to the polls in the fifth phase on May 6th.
In Madhya Pradesh, there are 123 candidates in the fray in all seven parliamentary constituencies.
Polling for the fifth phase will take place on Monday, sixth phase on 12th of this month and seventh and final phase on the 19th.
Counting of votes for all phases will be taken up on the 23rd of this month.
