The 9th Operation Ganga flight has reached New Delhi from Bucharest, Romania. It was carrying 218 Indian nationals. Seventh flight carrying 182 Indian nationals landed in Mumbai this morning. Union Minister Narayan Rane received them at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. More than 1,400 students have already been evacuated from war-hit Ukraine under Operation Ganga.
The eighth Operation Ganga flight left from Budapest for New Delhi with 216 Indian nationals today. Dr Jaishankar said, our endeavor for everyone’s safe return continues. Last night, the seventh flight of Operation Ganga started from Bucharest to Mumbai with 182 Indian nationals.
The Indian Embassy in Ukraine has said that 400 students housed near the Embassy since 24th February successfully left Kyiv by train through Mission’s efforts. In a tweet, the Embassy said, ensured movement of more than 1000 Indian students from Kyiv towards Western Ukraine today. The Indian Mission in Ukraine has advised the remaining few students in Kyiv to leave once curfew is lifted.
