Farmers in Telangana are making use of e-NAM platform as they are realising the benefits of electronic marketing platforms for getting a better prices for their farm produce.

A total of 57 mandis have been connected to the electronic National Agricultural Market providing services to over 18 lakh 34 thousand stakeholders including farmers and traders in Telangana state. Jalandhar Reddy, a resident of Che Gal village has registered himself with e-NAM and is now able to get better prices for his farm produce. He says the e-NAM has proved to be beneficial to small and marginal farmers. Like him, many expect greater awareness to be created among farmers and more quality testing centres to be set up for the entire farming community to make use of the e-NAM.
