At least nine people were killed in hailstorm and lightning in the last 24 hours in different parts of Bihar. Two people each were killed in Purnea, Jahanabad and Jamui district. The remaining three were killed in Muzaffarpur, Dharbanga and Nawada.
Maximum rainfall was recorded in Purnea. Mango and Litchi crops have been damaged in the hailstorm. According to the MeT department, rain is likely today in eastern part of the state.
