Eight people, including four labourers, were killed and 10 others injured in two major two road accidents reported in Karnataka on Tuesday.
Police said that four people were killed when a car in which they were travelling overturned at Kumarapatnam near Ranebennur in Haveri District in the early hours of the day.
While one person died on the spot, three others succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. The accident occured when the driver tried to avoid hitting a bike coming in the wrong direction.
In the second incident, four people died on the spot and 10 others injured, when a Tata Ass in which they were travelling overturned at Nerlahalli in Chitradurga District.
