In Pakistan, seven people were killed and twenty-five others were injured in a suicide blast during wedding celebrations at the residence of a peace committee member in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province last night.
District police confirmed the attack occurred at the residence of peace committee chief Noor Alam Mehsud near Qureshi Morr. Guests were reportedly dancing when the blast struck, causing the roof of the room to collapse and trapping people under debris. Initial reports said peace committee leader Waheedullah Mehsud, also known as Jigri Mehsud, was among the dead.
