In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, 55 people died due to COVID during the last twenty-four hours till 5 pm on Thursday. With this a total of 2,967 deaths have taken place due to COVID in the Union Territory till date. Of the 55 deaths, 35 deaths took place in Jammu Division while 20 persons succumbed in Kashmir Valley. Meanwhile, 4,356 new positive cases -1,771 from Jammu Division and 2,995 from Kashmir Valley have been reported during the last 24 hours. With this the total number of positive cases in the Union Territory has gone up to 2,33,763. Of these 52,848 are active cases, while 1,177,948 people have recovered in the Union Territory. Moreover, 2,995 more COVID 19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals of the Union Territory.
