At least 50 people were taken ill apparently after drinking contaminated water in Kanota area of Jaipur in Rajasthan yesterday.
A rapid response team was sent to the spot after the incident. Director of Medical and Health department said, 41 people were given primary treatment and the rest admitted to Sawai Man Singh hospital in Jaipur.
He said, a round-the clock control room has been set up in all districts to handle such cases.
Chief Medical and Health Officer of Jaipur Ravi Sharma said, water samples have been collected from Kanota and nearby areas and sent for testing.
