2 arrested, 3 detained for attack on African nationals in DelhiDelhi Police have arrested two persons and detained three suspects in connection with the attack on African nationals in South Delhi’s Mehrauli area.

Police have registered three separate cases and have detained a few people but have denied that the attacks were planned or racist in nature.

After Masonda Olivier’s death in Delhi last week, a Nigerian student was assaulted in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, some more isolated cases of alleged attacks on African nationals have emerged from the national capital.

Six African nationals were attacked in south Delhi on Thursday night.
Amid the emerging cases of attacks on African nationals in the country, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had yesterday spoken to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and New Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung and was assured of swift action against the culprits.

Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs announced that it would arrange the transportation of Masunda Oliver, the African national who was brutally killed in the national capital, back to his home to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
