NEW DELHI: Uttarakhand and some other Parts of norther India felt tremors around 10:35 pm. The tremors were seemingly caused by a medium-intensity earthquake in the India-Nepal border region.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has estimated the earthquake to be of magnitude 5.2 on the Richter scale.
The epicentre has been located close to Dharchula in Uttarakhand. The depth of the quake has been estimated at 36 km deep in earth.
Tremors were felt in the Delhi-NCR area. Reports are coming in of the tremors being felt in other areas.
