AMN / The death toll in northeast monsoon rain related incidents has risen to 41 in Tamil Nadu today. Chennai Met office has issued a forecast saying that there will be heavy rain in southern districts of Tamil Nadu.
Chief Minister Jayalithaa has announced today a compensation of Rs four lakh each to the families of 17 persons killed in rain related incidents in Salem, Cuddalore, Villupuram and Kannyakumari. The Chief Minister had already announced Wednesday compensation to the families of 19 persons died in Cuddalore, Kanchipuram and Tiruvannamalai.
