Four infiltrated terrorists were killed during encounter with security forces in Ramgarh sector along the Indo-Pak International border in Jammu and Kashmir, today. Seven security personnel including a BSF DIG, a police and a BSF Inspectors and four BSF jawans have also been injured during the operation.
Defence sources said that acting on a tip off about the infiltration, the security personnel had launched a search operation in Chamliyal area of the Ramgarh sector of Samba district this morning. A BSF spokesperson told AIR that the security personnel launched an operation against the hiding infiltrated terrorists and succeeded in eliminating all of them. The operation concluded about 11:30 this morning.
However, while searching the bodies of terrorists a powerful IED blast occurred which led to injuries to security forces. Heavy exchange of gunfire between security forces and terrorists in the Army establishment in Nagrota area in the outskirts of Jammu city is still in progress.Reports said that an Army officer and two jawans lost their lives in the attack and a few security personnel have been injured, while officially this has not been confirmed yet.A group of 3 to 4 militants had carried out strike on an Army unit in Nagrota at about 5:30 this morning.
