Five civilians were killed in two different incidents when armed forces opened fire in central and south Kashmir areas Tuesday.

Reports said a teenager was killed in Larkipora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district after Army allegedly fired upon protesters. More than ten civilians were also injured in the incident.

Earlier, four civilians were killed in Aripanthan area of Beerwah in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday morning when security forces (CRPF) personnel allegedly opened fire on a group of stone pelting protesters.

Two critical among 16 injured were shifted to SKIMS Bemina hospital for treatment.

The normal life remained paralysed on 39th consecutive day since the unrest began a day after the killing of terrorist Burhan Wani on 8th of July.
