Top Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth will begin their singles campaign in Indonesia Open Badminton today. Sindhu, seeded fifth, will face Japan’s Aya Ohori while Srikanth , who is placed eighth, will face Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto.
B. Sai Praneeth and HS Prannoy are the other Indians who will be seen in action. Praneeth will take on Wong Wing Ki of Hong Kong while Prannoy will meet second seeded Chinese Shi Yuqi.
On the opening day yesterday, Indian pair of S Ranikireddi and C Shetty defeated their Malaysian opponents in the men’s doubles category. Pranav Jerry Chopra and N Sikki Reddi have entered into second round of the mixed doubles.
