Four persons have been arrested in Bihar in connection with merit scam in the Intermediate examination of the state. The Centre Superintendent of G.A. High School, Hajipur,which was the examination centre of Vishun Rai College has been arrested.
The Principal of Rajendra Nagar High School, Patna, where copies of toppers were evaluated was also arrested. A school teacher and a clerk also been taken in police custody. A massive manhunt is on to nab Principal of Vishun Rai College from where toppers had appeared in the examination.
The Chairman of Bihar School Examination Board Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh today resigned from his post. Sources said, the State Government has asked him to step down. Police have seized computer hard disc and pen drives besides other relevant papers related to toppers’ examination yesterday from his office.
