At least 32 people were killed after a Turkish cargo plane crashed in a populated area while attempting to land at its main airport in thick fog today. The majority of the dead are from the nearby village of Dacha-Suu of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Health Ministry, four pilots also died in the incident. A spokesman for the Kyrgyzstan’s emergency services ministry said, the plane was a Turkish Airlines flight going to Istanbul from Hong Kong via Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek.
