The event saw many interesting competitions besides an interactive Kavi Sammellan and CPR workshop

The 30th edition of the Perfect Health Mela organised by the Dr KK’s Heart Care Foundation of India (HCFI), a leading national Non-Profit Organization dedicated to promoting public health awareness, began today at Dilli Haat Pitampura with the theme of Holistic Wellbeing. 

The first day of the event saw over 2500 children from various schools and colleges of Delhi participate in numerous interesting activities. Apart from dance, skits, debates, poster making, and group yoga competitions, there was a spellbinding Kavi Sammellan which was the highlight of the day. Students put their best foot forward in all the activities which were a mix of entertainment and education. There was also an engaging workshop on the lifesaving technique of CPR. 

HCFI has been actively engaged in creating mass health awareness since its inception in 1986. It was the vision of Dr KK Aggarwal to ensure public health awareness and access to affordable healthcare for all. To this end, the HCFI has been organizing the Perfect Health Mela (PHM) annually since 1993 around the concept of one health for people from all walks of life using infotainment modules.

Speaking about this, Veena Aggarwal, Trustee, Heart Care Foundation of India, said, “We are thrilled to witness such active participation from the youth in promoting health awareness and education. It is heartening to see them take an interest in their well-being, and we hope this enthusiasm continues.”

Adding further, Naina Aggarwal, Trustee, Heart Care Foundation of India, said, “The diverse range of activities and workshops at the Perfect Health Mela truly emphasize the importance of holistic well-being. It is inspiring to witness the community come together for the promotion of preventive healthcare and wellness.”

The Mela offered free health checkups including sugar test, ECG, BMI, BP etc. in partnership with Mera Doc. Doctors across all disciplines and pathies were engaged to provide free consultation to people apart from imparting essential information on various diseases, their prevention, and ensuring overall well-being. 

The Mela brings together over 100 organizations, including central and Delhi state departments, PSUs, schools, and colleges. As a cornerstone of community health, the Mela has consistently provided free health check-ups, disseminated crucial health and well-being information, and educated the public on various preventive health-related subjects. Jamia Hamdard, Holy Family College of Nursing, Bharti Public School, Maxfort Public School, and Mount Abu Public School are the co-hosts for the Mela this year. 

People attending can look forward to free health check-ups, consultations with renowned medical professionals, exhibitions showcasing various government health schemes, workshops on alternative medicines, and engaging workshops. The comprehensive and interactive health extravaganza, promotes the importance of preventive healthcare and holistic wellness. The event is open to the public, encouraging people from all walks of life to participate actively and take proactive measures towards a healthier future.
