Three Militants were killed in an ongoing encounter with security forces in Hokarsar area on the outskirts of Srinagar in Kashmir valley.
The identity of the slain terrorists is yet to be ascertained. SECURITY forces had launched cordon and search operation in the area last evening on specific input about presence of terrorists . As searching party reached the targeted house, terrorists opened fire triggering an encounter. The police sources said the operation was suspended in the night to avoid collateral damage. However, cordon was strengthened to prevent terrorists from escaping. The operation was on when reports last came in.
