Sources said that Raja was confronted with some documents recovered by the agency during its raids on Department of Telecom offices in October last year after registering a case against unknown officers of DoT and telecom companies.
CBI reportedly also asked him on the tapped conversation he had with corporate lobbyist Niira Radia about allegedly favouring certain telecom companies.

The Supreme Court is monitoring the multi agency probe into the allocation of 2G spectrum to certain telecom firms.
The apex court has asked CBI and Enforcement Department to submit status reports on their probe by February 10, when the 2G spectrum case will come up for hearing.
Meanwhile a former associate of Niira Radia has alleged that senior BJP leaders L K Advani, Nitin Gadkari and Ananth Kumar have favoured the corporate lobbyist. Mr Gadkari has dismissed the allegations saying this is cent per cent lie. Mr Gadkari said he has not even seen Radia face-to-face.
