Sources said that Pakistan is yet to place a formal request Judicial Commission for visit to India.
An Indian delegation led by Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao will leave for Islamabad on Thursday to hold comprehensive dialogue with her counterpart Salman Bashir there.
During the talks, India will raise its concerns over terror directed against it from the Pakistani soil. Besides talks on Mumbai attack, all outstanding issues including Jammu and Kashmir are likely to be discussed.
Government sources said that all documents pertaining to Mumbai attacks have been handed over to Pakistan and India expects concrete results from the trials in Pakistan.
The two sides are also likely to review the status of existing Nuclear Confidence Building Measures, CBMs , of prior missile notification mechanism and annual exchange of list of nuclear installations in the respective countries. An expert-level group including Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs will hold a comprehensive meeting with the Pakistani side later this year on the nuclear CBMs.
The talks will be the latest addition to the step-by-step re-engagement process which the two sides zeroed-in at Thimphu in February this year. The two countries had agreed to resume their bilateral talks to resolve all outstanding issues in a constructive and forward looking manner and also to narrow down the trust deficit between the two sides. It was also decided that meetings at the level of respective secretaries will be convened on counter terrorism, humanitarian and economic issues, peace and security including Confidence Building Measures, promotion of friendly exchanges and Sir Creek issues.
