At least 22 people including several children were killed in fresh wave of violence in different areas in Iraq. At least 14 Iraqi soldiers were killed and 17 others injured in a suicide car attack when Iraq’s armed forces started an operation to dislodge the Islamic State group from Ramadi.
In a separate incident, at least 8 civilians, including several children, were killed in a series of airstrikes on a residential area north of Ramadi.
