Two civilians including a woman have been killed in Pakistani shelling in Jammu and Poonch districts today. Indian and Pakistani troops are involved in heavy exchange of gunfire at Pallanwala sector in Jammu district, Sunderbani, Nowshera sectors in Rajouri district and Balakote sector in Poonch district along the Line of Control.

PRO Defence Lt Col Manish Mehta told media that Pakistani Army had resorted to firing and shelling in Pallanwala, Sunderbani and Nowshera sectors since morning while in Balakote sector this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Pakistani forces again resorted to shelling in RS Pura sector of Jammu district along the International Border leaving at least one civilian injured. Police sources said that, Pakistani Rangers started unprovoked shelling in the area around 11 am today.

BSF has retaliated the shelling and exchange of fire is still continuing.
