Two Indian boxers will be in action today at the World Women’s Boxing Championship at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi. Nikhat Zareen, in the 48-50 kg category, will face Boualam Roumaysa of Algeria while Manisha will take on Rahimi Tina of Australia in the 54-57 category for their round of 32 matches.
Yesterday, Indian pugilists continued their winning spree as Nitu Ganghas, Preeti and Manju Bamboriya entered the pre-quarters in their respective weight categories.

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Nitu Ganghas (48kg) began her campaign with an RSC win over Doyeon Kang of Korea, while in the 54 kg, Preeti emerged victorious by a narrow 4-3 margin against Lacramioara Perijoc of Romania in another Round of 32 bouts. Manju Bamboriya (66kg), defeated Cara Wharerau of New Zealand by a 5-0 verdict.
