In the first Cricket test of three-match series, India were 272 for 3 wickets in their first innings against South Africa at stumps on Day One at Centurian.

Opener KL Rahul on 122 and Ajinkya Rahane on 40 were at the crease when stumps were drawn.

India lost two wickets in the second session as Lungi Ngidi struck twice in consecutive balls to remove Mayank Agarwal and Cheteshwar Pujara. Ngidi then also removed skipper Virat Kohli.

Mayank Agarwal added 117 runs with KL Rahul for the first wicket. Earlier, India won the toss and opted to bat.
