Surge in the number of COVID-19 cases being recorded every day continued with reporting of over 1,800 new cases on Sunday in Telangana.
As per the daily bulletin issued by the State Medical and Health Department Monday morning, 1,873 persons tested positive for Corona virus on conduction of about 32 thousand tests during the past 24 hours.
With this, the number of total COVID -19 cases reported so far in the state increased to 1,24,963.
During the same period, 1,849 more COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged from various hospitals in the state.
With this, the recovery rate in the state stood at 73.3 per cent and total 92,837 people recovered from COVID so far.
Nine people died on Sunday due to COVID and other comorbidities taking the death toll to 827.
Meanwhile, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, where COVID-19 prevalence was more, reported 360 fresh COVID cases during the past 24 hours while Karimnagar, Khammam and Rangareddy districts reported over hundred new cases of COVID during the past 24 hours.
