At least 18 people were killed and 16 injured when a mini-truck met with an accident in Ghyangphedi of Nuwakot district of Nepal on Friday evening, police said. Among the victim 15 are male and 3 are female.
Police informed 16 people were injured in the accident. Of them, seven have been sent to Kathmandu in ambulance for medical treatment, while nine others are receiving treatment at local health facility.
The truck heading for Sisiphu from Kimtang fell off a cliff into the river at Samundratar.
Locals said around 40-45 people were aboard the ill-fated truck when the tragedy struck. The accident site is around 40-km North-East from Bidur Municipality.
