At least 14 people were killed and 18 others injured in a road accident in Sindhupalchowk district this morning.
The accident occurred around 8.15 in the morning, when a bus skidded off the road and plunged around 500 meters below the road in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality area.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishor Kumar Dahal said that deceased include 8 women, 3 men and 3 children. He said, 10 injured have been admitted in nearby hospitals while others have been rushed to Kathmandu.
The ill-fated bus was ferrying pilgrims from Kalinchowk temple to Bhaktapur.
