At least 12 persons including 5 children and 3 women charred to death in a fire tragedy in Aurangabad district in Bihar.
The fire broke out today in a house in Harinagar village under Dawood Nagar police station. District magistrate Kanwal Tanuj told media that some more people are in serious condition and they have been admitted in hospital.
The tragic incident took place when deceased were sleeping inside a thatched house. The death toll increased due to sudden break out of fire and there was only a single exit.
Large number of people had gathered to attend a marriage ceremony and some of them were resting inside house.
Meanwhile the state government has announced an ex-gratia of Rupees four lakh next to the kin of the deceased.
