One hundred seventeen people have been debarred from contesting Assembly election in Bihar. They have been disqualified under section 10 A of the Representation of People Act, 1951. They have been found violating norms set by the ACT.
Election Commission of India has asked chief electoral officers of the states to provide the list of black listed people to every Returning Officers so that they remain alert while entertaing the nomination. List of disqualified people are also posted on ECI website.
