The 100th episode of Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat was played at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Colombo. Members of the Indian Community, officials from the High Commission and students participated in the listening of the 100th episode. A panel discussion on the journey on the journey to 100th episode was held subsequently. High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay said Mann ki Baat is not merely a speech but is a participatory broadcast at the centre of which are people of India. He said that Mann ki Baat not only embodies the true democratic spirit, but also the aspirations of the people of India. He described Mann ki Baat as a programme which captures the transformation happening in India.
Chairman of Derana Macro Entertainment Dilith Jayaweera said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been a great communicator who has projected the Brand India through Mann ki Baat and he is the brand ambassador. Director of International Affairs in the Sri Lankan President’s Secretariat Dinouk Colombage described the importance of good communication in the success of a government. Chairman of FCBkl.lk, Santosh Menon summarised the 100th episode of the Mann ki Baat and moderated the discussion.
