Atleast 10 members of security forces were killed in terrorists attack at police and military bases in Afghanistan on Monday.

In Badghis province, five officers were killed, including the Police commander of a reserve unit, in an attack that took place near the provincial capital of Qala-i-Now.

Spokesman to the Governor said, around 22 Taliban fighters were also killed and 16 wounded in the gunbattle.

In Baghlan province, terrorists launched attacks on a joined Army and Police base, killing three army and two police officers.

Police said, four members of the security forces were wounded in the attack, which took place in the Baghlani Markazi district. At least 20 insurgents were also killed and wounded.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far, but the spokesman blamed the Taliban terror group, which often targets Afghan security forces.
