At least 10 Pakistani nationals were killed after a boat carrying over 80 passengers capsized near Morocco. The boat was reportedly carrying passengers attempting to enter Europe illegally. A total of 36 Pakistani nationals have been rescued. According to reports, the boat was en route to Spain’s Canary Islands through West Africa.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has related this incident to “human trafficking” and said that authorities will continue to crack down hard on human traffickers and agents in Pakistan who lure innocent citizens into this dangerous trap.
