The video shared by Prime Minister Narendra Modi making a heartfelt appeal to the nation to remember the jawans has received a tremendous response.
People from all parts of the country and all walks of life are writing their messages to the jawans. Over 10 lakh messages have already come in via different mediums.
Approximately 7 lakh people have written through Facebook, Twitter and MyGov portal and 3 lakh people have written on Narendra Modi App.
Prominent people who have sent their wishes to Jawans include Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, Cricketers Virat Kohli, Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh, Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik and others.
Several celebrities have sent video messages to convey their emotions. Many Chief Ministers, Cabinet Ministers and Parliamentarians have also written to the jawans.
Doordarshan and All India Radio are running programs daily to convey people’s messages to the Armed Forces. Several other TV channels have also taken initiatives towards this campaign.
