At least 10 people were killed in two explosions in the eastern province of Paktia of Afghanistan Friday. A provincial governor spokesman said five members of one family died when their vehicle struck a hidden roadside bomb.
He said another five people were killed when their tractor hit a similar devise an hour later. Both incidents happened in Chamkani district. He blamed Talban fighters who are active in the area and regularly plant bombs on the roads.
