The BJP’s national executive meeting on Tuesday passed a socio-economic resolution praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s led government for transforming India into the fifth largest economy from a ‘Fragile Five’ economy.
The resolution underlined that now the country is moving towards politics and governance of saturation, suggesting that the government’s progarmmes are fulfilling the requirements of the people, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said.
Briefing media about it in New Delhi, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan informed that a discussion was held on how Direct Benefit transfers worth 22.6 lakh crore rupees were given to beneficiaries in the last eight years and India has become self-reliant due to its economic policy. He said, during the Covid pandemic it was ensured that nobody remained hungry. The Minister said the resolution talked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance that his government would work with the spirits of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas, and it has been proved very excellently. He added that society is being empowered due to Mr. Modi’s clarity of thought and successful implementation of efficient policies even in difficult circumstances.
The resolution also mentioned how Bharat Mala, Sagar Mala, Dedicated Freight Corridor, UDAAN Scheme, and Bharat Broadband Network have upped the development and growth in the infrastructure capacities of 21st-century India. Mr. Pradhan highlighted that vocal for local, one district, one product has now become the basic principles and policies of the government. He added that the Narendra Modi government has been very much concerned about farmers and implemented various policies to ensure that they get appropriate prices for their produce.
In another press briefing, BJP National Vice President Baijayant Jay Panda said that in the last eight years, the National Executive meeting welcomed the assumption of G-20 presidency by India saying it is a big moment for the country. He said, the image of India has changed in the world, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mr Panda said, earlier India used to depend on other countries to face any problem, but today it is efficient enough to face any challenges and also helping other countries. He informed that External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar made a statement in the meeting on how the World views have changed towards India in the Narendra Modi government regime.
During the meeting, a statement was also made on the welfare of the poor. Party leader Dr. Sudha Yadav informed the double-engine NDA government has promoted welfare of poor in the last eight years. She said, right from Har Ghar Jal, Housing for All, and the Farmer’s welfare policies, Narendra Modi government has touched each and every aspect of people’s lives. She said, upliftment of the poor is topmost priority of the government and it is moving the vision of Antyodaya.
The Prime Minister will address the concluding session of the BJP National Executive meeting this evening. The two-day National Executive meeting began at NDMC Convention Centre yesterday. In his inaugural address on the first day of the meeting, BJP President J P Nadda called upon the Party leaders and workers to leave no stone unturned to ensure BJP’s victory in the upcoming assembly elections in nine States this year. The National Executive is also expected to extend the tenure of Mr. Nadda as the Party president.
