Uttar Pradesh government today suspended district Magistrates of Gonda and Fatehpur. It is first major action against bureaucracy by the Yogi Government.
During Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Gonda on 18th May, he had received several complaints about misuse and black marketing of food grains meant for Public distribution system. He had initiated a high level probe against the district administration on these complaints.
The state government today suspended District Magistrate JB Singh following reports of the probe.
Similarly District Magistrate of Fatehpur, Kumar Prashant has been suspended on his alleged involvement in the allotment of government lands to private people and his failure on unchecked illegal mining.
Several complaints were received by the government against the district administration on both issues.
