The Methodology to conduct SECC has been so designed that the complete socio economic profile of all castes including Scheduled Castes will be available.
However, the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry is implementing the following schemes for the economic and education development for Scheduled Caste.
Schemes of Economic Development
1. Special Central Assistance to SCSP.
2. Self –employment scheme for Rehabilitation of Manual Scavengers Concessional Loans for self employment by-
1. National Scheduled Caste Finance & Development Corporation (NSFDC)
2. National Safai Karamcharis Finance & Development (NSKFDC)
Schemes of Educational Development
1. Pre- Matric Scholarship for children of those engaged in ‘unclean’ occupations
2. Post –Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Castes
3. Scholarship for “Top Class Education”
4. National Overseas Scholarship
5. Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship
6. Upgradation of Merit
6. Babu Jagjivan Ram Chhatarwas Yojana
