Under nation wide mock drill, Minister of State, Health and Family Welfare Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar inspected the current medical infrastructure and preparedness to deal with Covid_19 emergency today at G B Pant Hospital, Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The minister visited the ICU, OPD ward, dispensary and medical oxygen plant at the hospital premises and also met with the patients. She also took stock of hospital’s functionality and current available facilities.
The MoS made an appeal not to panic and informed that government is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in the country, appropriate steps to be taken within time. She also urged to follow COVID Appropriate Behaviour and do not pay heed to misinformation.
The MoS praised the availablity of having free medicines to patients at the hospital. She also issued necessary directions for improvement of hospital functionalities.
