The city of Osaka is fully geared up to welcome leaders of the world’s 20 largest economies. The G20 Summit is the “premier forum for international economic cooperation”. The 14th G20 summit is being held in Osaka from 28th to 29th June.

“Osaka is Japan’s third-largest city. In many ways, it’s the soul of Japan. Rice was shipped out all across Japan from Osaka, providing food to the nation. That is why Osaka is also known as Tenka no Daidokoro meaning nation’s kitchen.

Nowadays, it refers to its reputation as a gourmand’s paradise. In time, it would also become a major exporter of goods overseas. These economic advances caused Osaka to develop its own unique culture.
